What you need to know about L. plantarum!
Lactiplantibacillus Plantarum (L. Plantarum), formerly known as Lactobacillus Plantarum, is a type of probiotic, which is a beneficial bacteria. It is the main ingredient in the Muna probiotic. There are many strains of L. Plantarum that have different uses and the strain that we use is Proge 17630®, ROSELLA. This probiotic strain is one of the most documented in the world within women’s health, as it has been studied in over 800 women, in six clinical studies. Clinical evidence shows that this unique strain helps maintain vaginal health in relation to vaginal yeast infections, either as combined treatment with anti-fungal medications or on its own!
How does it work?
Probiotics taken orally will pass through the gut, colonize the intestine and will be excreted in feces. Anatomically, the anus and vagina are very close, so bacteria can make their way from the anus into the vagina to colonize it. This gut to vagina passage was confirmed by clinical studies, in particular with ROSELLA. In studies, ROSELLA was found in the vagina after oral intake and continued to be present 15 days after taking treatment.
Our Muna probiotic has 5 billion CFU of ROSELLA in each capsule. CFU is the number of viable bacteria cells in the supplement. We’ve made sure that you’re getting a great dose from Muna. Why? Because life is complicated but your health should be simple!
